GREATER NOIDA MALAYALEE ASSOCIATION (GNMA)

India is a vast country where people belonging to diverse culture, keeping different traditions and practices, and speaking varied language live together. This bears the testimony to our long tradition of peaceful and tranquil living. Kindling a feeling of togetherness and a sense of pride in belonging to a great nation is the need of the hour. Since its inception in 2003, GNMA has been directing all its activities towards fulfilment of this objective.

GNMA, is a registered socio-cultural Association with a progressive outlook, functioning in Greater Noida, avowed to uphold the values of rich Indian culture and tradition.  GNMA has been contributing its mite towards the welfare and upliftment of the weaker strata of our society in general and Keralites in particular.  

Besides bringing together all Keralites residing in this City under an umbrella, GNMA also provides a common platform for the Keralites to discuss their common problems. Its objectives, inter-alia, include :

*   To work for welfare of residents of Greater Noida in general and Keralites in particular
*   To encourage and promote artistic self-_expression through dramas, films, dances, music, other cultural activities and to arrange for proper education & training in such arts.
*   To provide a forum for exchange of ideas on the social, cultural, economic and academic problems of the country at the national level in general  with particular reference to Kerala.
*   To promote the educational / career/ cultural advancement of Malayalees residing in Greater Noida
*   To focus special attention on the various problems of  Keralites and their representation to the Kerala /UP State/ Central Government or other authorities concerned.
*   To help financially / materially and with other possible means the people affected with natural calamities in India. 

The Association has initiated action to issue of ration cards and voter’s identity cards to its members and extending concessional medical facilities to its members and has actively participated in various medical camps organized by different hospitals at Greater Noid etc. In a short span of its existence, the GNMA’s has organized  variety of functions and get-togethers of its members and other activities like Onam & New Year Celebrations etc. etc.
